In the process of holding a working meeting on the basis of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Samara Region, representatives of the regional administration assured that this year a substantial sum of money will be spent on weed control.
Given that weeds are a potential threat to crop exports in the region, the regional authorities have provided costs in the form of 17 million rubles for the implementation of measures to destroy pests.
It is known that members of the regional government and representatives of self-government bodies, with the support of experts from the Rosselkhoznadzor of the Samara Region, take part in the development of a program for weed control. It is not superfluous to note that last year, 25% of Samara's exports were cereals. This information was published by customs officers of the Russian Federation. In order to increase the volume of grain supplies abroad, much attention should be paid to the conditions for growing crops. And here it is important to ensure unhindered and healthy growth of plants.
Weeds, affecting the quality and quantity of grain products in Russia, can significantly reduce the export potential. To prevent this from happening, 17 million rubles will be allocated from the Samara budget. The funds will be used to purchase special equipment, pay farmers and other needs. It is reported that a subsidy from the federal center will help the region cover almost all of these costs.
