Grandmothers with dill and grandfathers selling woolen socks and insoles on the street are members of a criminal gang, officials say the Inspectorate for Improvement of the Dnieper.
Inspection officers plan to carry out a series of raids against street dealers in greens and small goods, its leader Ruslan Moroz told on his Facebook page.
There are many advocates of such a business in the city who like to distribute photos of grandmothers with dill buns on the net. They believe that people trade in the streets so as not to starve to death. But this is a large, profitable and very cynical business, which is controlled by 3-4 criminal groups. There are bandits from Kharkov and Donetsk region.Street trading makes entire areas of the city look like ghettos. Each merchant is trained in how to behave during the audit. There is a quick connection system and “runners”.
Ruslan Moroz announced immediate plans for raids at retail locations this spring. The official did not disclose details of future events, but wrote that the inhabitants of the Dnieper will no longer have to make their way through the streets through boxes with insoles, socks, coins and other trifles.Share
