About 700 kg of honey can be obtained from one ha of plantings of paulownia, said Alexander Opanasyuk, general director of Pavlovnia Group Ukraine, an official representative of IN VITRO S. L.
The company "Pavlovnia Group Ukraine" is engaged in the sale of seedlings of 112 clones in Ukraine. This type of paulownia is the only one authorized for sale and entered in the register of plants.
The tree begins to bloom in the third year of life, and continues annually until the cut. Paulownia blooms in the third decade of April. Flowering lasts 21-23 days, up to a month maximum. But beekeepers can get not only honey from paulownia, but also valuable wood for making hives.“We had applications for beehives for Iranian beekeepers. They are light, warm, and pests such as grinders will not start in them, ”Opanasyuk says.
Due to the fact that in the process of paulownia development it “pulls” tannin well, it is used in furniture manufacturing, and even in shipbuilding. Wood does not deform; it is easy to paint, glue and varnish. It is moisture resistant, homogeneous, without knots and resins.Earlier it was reported that the Rovno farmer Anton Kuzmich grows twenty-meter foreign trees called paulownia Clone In Vitro 112 (KLON IN VITRO 112). The tree reaches a height of 20 meters in just five years.
