Last week, agrarians of the Lipetsk region managed to collect about forty-four and a half thousand tons of vegetable products grown in closed ground.
It is important to note that the predominant part of the entire crop of Lipetsk greenhouses this year falls on cucumbers - their share in the total mass was about thirty thousand tons.
As for tomatoes, in this case we are talking about fifteen thousand tons, collected in greenhouses with tomatoes.
For comparison, we note that a year earlier, in early June 2018, Lipetsk farmers harvested about thirty-two thousand tons of vegetables grown in regional greenhouses.
It is noteworthy that the greenhouse industry of the region does not stand still and annually moves towards significant expansion by leaps and bounds. Take at least this year: in the next few months, farmers in the region intend to put into operation at least ninety hectares of greenhouse complexes.
It is known that today in the Lipetsk region about one hundred six hectares are allotted for growing crops in closed ground conditions.
In a year, the region’s authorities, jointly with the farmers of the region, intend to reach the two hundred hectares indicator. The planned volume of the greenhouse crop in the Lipetsk open spaces in 2020 is at least one hundred and ninety thousand tons.
