From 60 thousand pigs already available, the agricultural holding intends to increase the number of animals raised to 100 thousand heads.
The pig complex of the company has all the opportunities for raising 100 thousand pigs, adhering to sanitation standards to prevent African swine fever in Ukraine, said Andrei Skorokhod, Director General of KSG Agro.
Together with a group of investors, the company plans to open a breeding sow reproducer, which will contain 2 thousand heads (stage 1). A total of 3 stages are planned.
Now the management of the agricultural holding is negotiating with partners. It is planned that among them there will be: a manufacturer of equipment for pig farms from Europe, an investment fund from Denmark, 2 producers of pedigree pigs from Denmark and one leading retailer from Ukraine.
Andrey Skorokhod predicts that the share of the agricultural holding in the share capital of the project will take about 30%. According to Andrei Skorokhod, negotiations on the implementation of the project should be completed in September this year.
For information, KSG Agro is the largest agricultural holding in Ukraine. The company is engaged in the production of pork and crops. Since 2014, the agricultural holding has been engaged in the production of fuel pellets.
