As the customs officers of the Russian Federation, working with statistics, in the first four months of this year, the country significantly increased the volume of purchases of foreign butter.
The increase in imports by more than ninety-three percent (compared with the period from January to April 2018) has led to the fact that today Russian buyers supply at least thirty-nine thousand tons of foreign oil to the domestic market.
Based on the data shared by representatives of the Soyuz Milk department, the increase in the size of purchases of butter from abroad is due to the fact that the ruble is strengthening in Russia and the purchase price of dairy raw materials remains high.
Today, large deliveries of butter from New Zealand arrive on the Russian market (over the year their volumes tripled), as well as from the Republic of Belarus (account for sixty percent of the total imports of milk fat in the Russian Federation) and Uruguay (doubled compared with January-April 2018).
The volume of oil that Russia buys from Argentina has increased seven times over the year.
