The campaign for mass harvesting on strawberry fields will begin in the Moscow region in the first days of June this year.

According to analysts of the regional food market, the cost of a kilogram of local strawberries in the suburbs will start at 250 rubles and will not exceed 300 rubles.

According to Andrei Razin, head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region, today in the region entrusted to him, there are about eight large enterprises producing garden strawberries (strawberries).

Six of them specialize in supplying marketable strawberries. The other two are involved in the process of growing seedlings for sale.

Based on the information shared by Andrei Razin with the public, this year the start of the mass picking of berries in the Moscow Region began atypically early. Favorable weather conditions contributed to this: spring in the metropolitan area turned out to be sunny, which helped berries grown in open ground to ripen faster than in previous years.

Note that according to the results of the strawberry harvesting season in 2018, a yield of slightly less than one and a half thousand tons of berries was obtained in the Moscow region. This year, according to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the region, the indicators will be much higher.
