Is there resin in larch
Larch resin stands out from cracks and cuts on this coniferous tree. When it goes outside, it freezes and protects the larch from pests and pathogens, fungi that can penetrate the wood and cause harm. It is a resinous consistency, which is quite thick in structure. Thus, the resin heals the wounds on the tree.
Did you know? From resin, rosin, turpentine are obtained and healing balms are made. It is obtained mainly from ordinary pine (1–1.1 kg / year). The yield of resin from larch is 2-3 times less. The rosin content in the resin is 70%, and the rest — this is turpentine (30%).
Hence its second name - resin. It can be obtained by applying notches to the tree during the growing season and collecting in special containers. This product in Siberia has long been called sulfur.
The resinous substances and gums in the larch (Daurian) make up about 22.5%, and in the pine (Angarsk) - about 4.6%. The difference is quite significant. Such resinity helps the wood to be resistant to decay processes, but larch requires special treatment, and tools often fail.
Larch Resin Properties
Due to the presence of many useful elements, gum is used for medicinal purposes.
Did you know? Larch buildings, due to its strength, can stand for a very long time. Archaeological excavations have established that wood is stony, but not destroyed. These processes occur due to resin.

Chewing sulfur is prepared as follows. The resin is carefully removed with the remnants of the bark, and then put in a cloth bag and boiled. A small load is placed in the bag for weighting. Sulfur begins to hatch first and float up. It is collected and formed into briquettes or in tablet form. Then the resulting mass is used as chewing gum in the treatment of certain diseases.Did you know? Resin is the oldest gum. Archaeologists have found in northern Europe pieces of resin with imprints of human teeth, which are VII – II millennia BC.
Chewing gum is good for heavy smokers to get rid of this bad habit. To quit smoking, many replace the cigarette with something else - sucking candy or chewing gum. This allows you to dull the desire to smoke. Instead of synthetic chewing gum, a natural product such as sulfur is a good fit.
Important! If the resin is in a too solid frozen state, then warmed vegetable oil, with which it is mixed, will help to make it softer and more plastic.
Larch chewing resin is successfully used to combat extra pounds. Such a chewing gum with a sulfur content has a slightly bitter-coniferous taste that dulls the desire to eat well. But it is worth remembering that for weight loss you still need to adhere to a diet, since only gum will not help. Moreover, the elements contained in this natural remedy remove nicotine from the body. It is enough to use it for 2-3 months, which will help to clear the lungs and reduce nicotine addiction. Harm and contraindications

- Individual intolerance.
- Do not chew it with severe periodontal disease, as increased blood in the gums will cause great bleeding.
- It is not recommended to use such chewing gum on an empty stomach so as not to harm the digestive tract. This is especially harmful with gastritis and peptic ulcer with high acidity.

You should not use this chewing gum after eating, as food residues simply imprint on the gums, which can cause an inflammatory process, so after eating you must rinse your mouth with warm water, and then use this product after 5-7 minutes.
You can not smoke a cigar and chew such chewing gum at the same time. This is due to the fact that the resinous consistency quickly absorbs carcinogenic elements, which, together with saliva, enter the intestines and stomach.
Important! Do not bite the resin with your teeth, since it is quite solid in structure and has a crystalline shape, which means it can damage the gums.
