This year has become unusually fruitful for Kuban farmers. In the past season, they managed to collect a record for the last three decades, apple harvest.

“A generous summer gave us almost 344 thousand tons of apples,” they say with pride in the Kuban. “In 2017, the figures were as much as 15% less.”

Indeed, a year earlier gardeners managed to collect nearly 300 thousand tons of fruits in the apple groves of the Kuban. It should be noted that apple stands occupy about 19 thousand hectares of Kuban open spaces.

“This year, young apple groves helped us out and helped us win the thirty-year record,” the regional administration is confident. - In addition, we are constantly developing gardens with drip irrigation systems, their areas are growing, respectively. We add that this region is considered the leader in the country in the production of apples. The Government of the Russian Federation actively supports Kuban farmers and promotes the laying of new plantings.

“In 2018, local farmers received about 650 million rubles for the development of the industry,” the regional administration notes. - And not so long ago, our talented young farmers received generous grants to improve horticulture and vegetable growing as part of the Small Garden project.
