Last year, business entities of the Ternopil region conducted their work on leased reservoirs with a total area of 1474.9 hectares. Namely: 180684 kg of carp, 27040 kg of silver carp and 3819 kg of pike.
At the end of 2018, 243225 kg of marketable products worth 5866750 UAH were sold in the Ternopil region.
Recall that aquaculture entities are required to report to the Office of the State Fisheries Agency in the Ternopil region on manufactured products. Reporting was carried out between November 2018 and January 2019 by the Ternopol Fish Protection Patrol.
For information, aquaculture is one of the types of agricultural activity that is associated with the artificial cultivation, maintenance and cultivation of aquatic biological resources under fully or partially controlled conditions for obtaining products.
In accordance with paragraph 1 of Art. 5 “Rights and obligations of aquaculture entities”, aquaculture entities may use: fishery water bodies (their parts); fishery technological reservoirs; water area (water expanse) of inland sea waters; territorial sea, exclusive (maritime) economic zone of Ukraine; water fund lands for aquaculture maintenance.
