According to Peter Shelishch, who heads the Union of Consumers of the Russian Federation, the period of abundant ripening of vegetables for the 2019 harvest has not yet come, and last year's stocks in the vegetable stores of domestic farmers have become significantly impoverished.

All these factors affect the price that sellers set on the existing smell of the product - greenhouse vegetables and the remnants of the 2018 crop. It is noteworthy that mid-May is an annual period when prices for vegetables, which are part of okroshka, are always high.

Today, the average cost of a pan with okroshka is 420 rubles for a Russian consumer. Provided that the traditional recipe for creating soup with kvass is used (based on 1 liter).
