In the near future, the state should coordinate compensation for Ukrainian producers with refrigerators for storing berries.
This was in an interview with AgroFM Vladimir Pechko, chairman of the public union "Ukrsadvinprom." “In the near future, we expect changes in legislation - namely, in the 587 resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers - in the issue of compensation for refrigerators with a capacity of 50 to 500 tons for berries and stones: blueberries, cherries and others,” he said.
This will extend the storage period of Ukrainian berries from a month and a half to 3-4 months. “We will be able to sell our products to both Nigeria and China,” adds Pechko.
He also recalled that Ukraine has recently adopted a roadmap, it provides training for manufacturers on how to store, sell products, and search for foreign partners.
Ukrainian agricultural producers will learn how to teach their managers how to sell, and how to care for agronomists in plantations.
It was previously reported that for 11 months of the season 2018-2019. from June to April, Ukrainian producers earned over $ 80 million from the export of frozen berries. Compared with the same period last season, it is clear that export of products increased immediately by 42% in cash and by 35% in kind.
