In Zhidachevsky district of Lviv region, firefighters fought with the fire of a combine harvester. Ivanovka Zhidachevsky district in the combine Claas Lexion-580.

Ignition occurred during harvesting. Employees of the enterprise immediately involved a tractor with a barrel of water, with a capacity of 10 tons, to extinguish the fire and reported the incident to firefighters.

“The fire was localized at 14:48, eliminated at 15:06. The fire managed to destroy the battery and the rear left wheel of the harvester, damage parts and the engine compartment assembly, ”noted in the DSS.

To eliminate the fire, rescuers 16 of the DPRH of the city of Zhidachev were involved. No one was injured in the fire. Currently, the cause of the fire is established by specialists.

Earlier it was reported that in the Zhytomyr region there was a fire on a wheat field, 3.5 hectares of wheat burned. According to preliminary information, a fire appeared in a working harvester due to a technical malfunction and spread to the field.

Rescuers recall the need for continuous cleaning of units and engines from pollution. Crop residues often collect near the exhaust pipe of the combine, a spark may form and a fire will begin.
