Created by the Rural Network of Services (RSN) and the National Center for Health and Rural Health Care (NCRHC), the new Rural Health and Care Alliance (RHCA) aims to provide information, innovation and best practices to health and care providers in countryside.
Today in England, older and vulnerable people living in rural areas of the country face a crisis in terms of poor access to social assistance, medical services and social assistance for children. Only one out of nine rural residents can currently be provided with unpaid assistance.
Members of the new alliance are several hospital trusts, regional public health authorities in England, and public health departments of village councils. The purpose of the alliance is to inform members about the activities of the National Center and the related activities of RSN on health and rural care and provide them with the opportunity to influence the work of both organizations.
In particular, the alliance will focus on equity in health and care for rural communities, build a strong collective voice for those involved in rural health and care, and raise awareness of the challenges facing rural health and care terrain.
