The results of recent experiments of the latest ASF vaccine help believe the best for Madrid developers. However, before introducing the drug into the process of combating plague, the researchers plan to conduct a test vaccination of wild boars.
The virologist at the Veterinary School in Madrid, Jose Sanchez, is known worldwide as an ardent fighter with ASF. He heads the swine fever vaccine laboratory and most recently introduced the latest achievement of his research center.

The effectiveness of the vaccine is still undergoing many tests. In addition, scientists still have not figured out what side effects may result from an overdose. Active work is being carried out on all this today. And, according to Jose Sanchez, if everything goes well, after a maximum of two years, the first batch of vaccines will be on sale.
“Today, our main goal is to vaccinate and thereby heal forest boars,” says Sanchez. “This will protect pork stocks from infection in farmsteads and large farms around the world from infection.”
