Employees of the Rostov Region Veterinary Services Department report that a quarantine regime has been introduced in the Oryol region of the region from today.
The reason for the introduction of quarantine was the causative agent of brucellosis, which struck the livestock of cattle in the stalls of the Nizhneantonovsky farm.
According to the veterinary service, in the specified farm there are signs of the brucellosis virus, which is dangerous for both animals and people. Also, 17 cows were found in the blood samples, which are kept on the territory of seven subsidiary farms of a personal ownership format.At the moment, the diagnosis of brucellosis has not yet been confirmed in six Oryol cows. It is noteworthy that on the territory of the Nizhneantonovsky farm contains more than 170 individuals of cattle and about 115 representatives of small cattle, 25 pigs, as well as 33 dogs that can also spread brucellosis, being carriers of the virus.
Today, the territory of this farm is under quarantine, and farmers of the quarantine territory do not have the right to sell milk and products from it both inside the temporarily closed zone and outside it.The sale of livestock feed, feed additives, and live animals is prohibited. The transport and driving of animals through the Oryol region is also prohibited.
