The initiative employees of Rospotrebnadzor came up with a proposal to consolidate a new definition in Russian legislation.

We are talking about the concept of "quality of food products", and it should be noted that this initiative seriously interested the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. After reviewing the proposal of Rospotrebnadzor, Medvedev instructed the competent authorities to develop an appropriate bill.

It is known that the creation of this bill is supervised by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova. Today, experts suggest that the bill will be adopted in the first reading, since the issue of the quality of nutrition of Russians is today as acute as possible.

It is known that at the moment the country is in the initial phase of the implementation of a state project to improve food quality. The program will be implemented in full until 2030. Over the next eleven years, specialists will draw up and implement strategies to improve the quality of food products that are implemented on the trading floors of Russia.

As for the introduction of a new concept into the legislation, the employees of Rospotrebnadzor propose to understand the term “high-quality food product” as a healthy provision, which can become a fundamental part of a healthy and balanced diet of Russian citizens of different ages and social status.

Assessing food quality, experts will rely on those indicators that consumers themselves from different target groups will name.
