The website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has published information about the next bill, closely related to changes in the agricultural sector. In particular, this document is designed to persuade the government to ban the production of fur in Ukraine.
The initiative arose in the fall of 2018, when a petition for a ban on fur production in Ukraine was signed by about 27 thousand respondents. Among those who supported the initiative of citizens who were not indifferent to the fate of fur-bearing animals, there were also employees of the relevant committee, who came up with a proposal to establish a corresponding bill.
Today, the bill is under consideration in the Rada, and if it is approved, the production of fur in Ukrainian open spaces will be banned from the first days of 2025. The punishment for violating the ban, activists promise, will be strict and affordable.
