In the Saratov region, an outbreak of such a dangerous disease as Newcastle disease was recorded at a poultry farm located between the Balakovo and Dukhovnitsky districts.
It is reported that the symptoms of the disease in birds were detected in the village of Ozerki. Veterinary control specialists immediately sent the biomaterial of the dead birds for analysis. As a result of laboratory studies, an outbreak of a dangerous disease was confirmed.
At the moment, a quarantine regime is in force in both regions, and sanitary and preventive measures are being taken.
In particular, the owners of poultry do not let their winged wards out of the premises, do not let outsiders into their possessions. The export of bird feed from the quarantine zone is also prohibited. The export of poultry manure and used poultry industry equipment is not allowed.
That part of the birds, which could not be protected from the effects of the virus, will be destroyed by the owners in accordance with the instructions of the regulatory authorities. It is also important to note that the sale of poultry products on the territory of the Dukhovnitsky district is strictly prohibited.
At the moment, measures are being taken to disinfect those territories and premises where the affected birds were. Experts emphasize that the threat of the spread of the virus is not observed.
