The main departments of the State Food and Beverage Service in the regions provided operational information on the progress of work on plant protection.
On June 14, 2019, the provision of agricultural enterprises with plant protection products for measures to protect crops was 32 thousand tons of drugs, which is 101% of the need for the first half of 2019, including 20.7 thousand tons of herbicides, or 101% to the need for them, at the level of indicators of 2018
Crop protection from pests, diseases and weeds was carried out on an area of 31.0 million hectares. More than 15.5 million hectares were treated with weed preparations, 7.9 million hectares from pests, including 1.3 million hectares from a bug bug, and 7.2 million hectares were cured of diseases.
Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainian farmers have used about 24.4 thousand tons of plant protection products, with the help of which they carried out the whole complex of plant protection from harmful organisms. Caring for crops in Ukraine is currently ongoing.
It was previously reported that for the first three months of 2019, imports of plant protection products from group 3808, which include herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides, as well as disinfectants, amounted to 39.769 tons. The Ukrainian side paid $ 424.962 thousand for their purchase.
